Privacy Policy for Video to Prompt

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Video to Prompt ("Video to Prompt", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at videotoprompt.dev and provides a tool that converts short videos into editable AI video prompts.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you use the website, upload a video, paste a direct video URL, create an account, purchase credits or a subscription, or contact support.

Information We Process

We may process the following categories of information:

  1. Video inputs

    • Video files you upload through the tool.
    • Direct video file URLs you paste into the tool.
    • Video content, frames, audio, and related metadata needed to analyze the video and generate a prompt.
  2. Generated outputs

    • The AI video prompt returned by the tool.
    • Basic request status information, including loading states, error messages, and analysis results.
  3. Account and support information

    • Email address and account identifiers if account features are enabled.
    • Messages, attachments, or context you send to support@videotoprompt.dev.
  4. Billing, credits, and order information

    • Product selected, order number, checkout/session identifier, payment status, credit amount, subscription interval, customer email, and provider metadata.
    • We do not intentionally collect or store full card numbers or complete payment credentials on our own servers. Payment details are handled by the checkout provider shown during purchase.
  5. Technical and usage information

    • Browser, device, IP/network, request, log, security, and usage information used to operate the service, debug errors, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and improve reliability.

How Video Analysis Works

Video to Prompt may send your submitted video file or direct video URL to third-party infrastructure and AI model providers so the video can be analyzed and converted into a written prompt.

The current product is intended for short, non-sensitive videos. Do not upload videos that contain sensitive personal information, confidential business material, private credentials, payment information, medical information, or content you do not have permission to process.

Payments Through Creem or Other Providers

When paid features are available, checkout may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as Creem or Stripe. If checkout is processed through Creem, Creem may act as the Merchant of Record for the transaction and may handle payment processing, taxes, invoices, refunds, and chargebacks.

After checkout, we may receive limited transaction information from the payment provider, such as customer email, checkout ID, order/request ID, product ID, payment status, and metadata needed to activate credits or subscription access. We use this information to confirm successful payment, update your order, provide credits, support billing questions, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Payment providers process your payment information under their own terms and privacy notices.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your submitted videos or generated prompts.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Video to Prompt, including hosting, storage, analytics, payment, email, abuse prevention, security, and AI model providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us or to you.

We may also disclose information if required by law, payment-provider rules, tax obligations, dispute processes, or if needed to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the service, or others.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service operation, debugging, security, legal compliance, billing, credits, refunds, disputes, tax/accounting, and support.

Video inputs and generated prompts may be processed temporarily to provide the service. Third-party providers may keep request logs, transaction records, or processed data according to their own terms, privacy notices, and retention practices.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by Video to Prompt. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid submitting highly sensitive, private, or confidential videos.

Your Choices

You can choose not to upload a file, not to paste a video URL, not to create an account, or not to purchase paid features. You may contact us at support@videotoprompt.dev for privacy or account-related requests.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Video to Prompt is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the service if you are not old enough to consent to data processing in your location.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. When we update it, we will post the new version on this page and adjust the "Last updated" date.
